Guess what I saw Today?

Saw and obtained! Lost and found!
This amazing old aluminum chair was fished out of Lake Bourne.
Probably some Katrina refuse.

If you know who it belongs to tell them to give me a call.
For now it is going in the garden of the Old Faux Chateaux.

Guess what I saw Today?

Not one but a pair!... of dead ringers for Woody Woodpeckers.
Carpienteros here in Costa Rica.

They went from tree to tree for a half-hour searching for delicacies and screeching.

They have the most amazing long thin necks...

Guess what I saw Today?

Double click to see it up close... you'll be scared you did. That miniature waiter/host/clown is creepy as hell. And "stuffed Calamary". That is one for the lost in translation file.

Guess what I saw Today?

This You-tube video of a house built in Madrid in 1966 by the architects Corrales y Moluzun.
And that room you see a few times that looks like an operating room with the bed in the middle?
After a little reaearch I discovered it was the "cuarte de plancha".
Nice.

Guess what I saw Today?

This great trailer for a 25 minute documentary about flipflops in Africa.
It is interesting and entertaining.
Watch it...
You will want to see the full length version.

Thanks to Journeyman Films and my San Jose neighbor Marty...

Guess what I saw today?

These acid green chrysali were hanging by tiny bits of filament to this helaconia leaf...
I have no idea what will hatch from these but with a coocoon like that you're bound to be attractive.
